In four decades, G.I. Joe has proven to be the greatest brand of boys’ toys. G.I. Joe started as an action figure in the sixties but was able to slowly grow and encompass the world and industry of action figures, comics, and television shows. Here are the more famous members of the Joe Team:
1. Ace
His real name is Brad Armbruster. Ace is the Sky Striker pilot who is fond of wisecracking and playing poker.
2. Airborne
His real name is Franklin Talltree. A helicopter assault trooper, he has an extrasensory bond with his brother.
3. Bazooka
His real name is David Kasnerbogen. He is the second rocket and missile specialist of the Joe Team. He wears a red jersey with the number 14 and a bazooka on his shoulder. He loves chewing gum even while working.
4. Beach Head
His real name is Wayne Sneeden. He is the ranger who is the fifth in the line of command of the G.I. Joe.
5. Big Brawler
He is an expert in counterintelligence and jungle survival.
6. Breaker
His real name is Alvin Kirby. He is the team’s computer and communications officer. He also has the habit of chewing gum.
7. Chameleon
She is the Baroness’ half sister and acts as the spy for the G.I. Joe team.
8. Clutch
His real name is Lance Steinberg. He is the team’s first mechanic and driver of the Vamp Mark II. He thinks he is also the team’s ladies’ man.
7. Cover Girl
Her real name is Courtney Krieger. She is a former model who became their tank specialist.
8. Cutter
His real name is Skip Stone. He is the pilot of the hovercraft and a US coast Guard member.
9. Duke
His real name is Conrad Hauser. He is the first sergeant and is second in command of the team.
10. Dusty
His real name is Ronald Rudat. He is the desert trooper of the team and was falsely accused of sedition.
11. Flint
His real name is Dashiell Faireborn and he flies helicopters. He is the warrant officer and is third in command in the team.
12. Gung-Ho
He is Ettienne LaFitte. He is a muscular Cajun Marine. He is known by the USMC logo tattoo he sports on his chest.
13. Hawk
His real name is Clayton Abernathy. He was originally the field commander who eventually assumed the position of the Joe team’s commanding officer.
14. Ice Shadow
He is the first Hispanic ninja of the team. He also has a tendency to be inattentive.
15. Lady Jaye
Her real name is Alison Hart-Burnett. She is the covert operations specialist of the team.
16. Law
His real name is Christopher Lavigne. Law is a Military Police and dog handler. The name of his dog is Order.
17. Leatherneck
His real name is Wendell Metzger. He is a Marine and a former drill sergeant.
19. Lifeline
His real name is Edwin Steen. He is a pacifist and a medic.
20. Mercer
His real name is Felix Stratton. He is among Sergeant Slaughter’s Renegades and was a former Cobra Viper.
21. Mutt
His real name is Stanley Perlmutter. He is the official dog handler of the G.I. Joe. He has a Rottweiler named Junkyard.
22. Quick Kick
His real name is MacArthur Ito. A half-Korean and half-Japanese, he was not accepted for his roots, so he trained to become a martial arts expert for the Joe Team.
23. Roadblock
His real name is Marvin Hinton. He is the heavy machine gunner of the team and also a gourmet chef.
24. Rock N’ Roll
His real name is Craig McConnel. He is the team’s machine gunner. He is also a weight lifter, a surfer and an electric guitar player.
25. Sergeant Slaughter
He is the team’s fourth in command and a drill instructor.
26. Scarlett
Her real name is Shana O'Hara. She is the counter intelligence soldier of the team.
27. Snake Eyes
A ninja, he is the commando of the team.
28. Spirit
He fuses military training with mysticism, being a shaman. He often has his bald eagle “Freedom” as his companion.
29. Thunder
His real name is Matthew Breckinridge. He is Joe team’s self-propelled gun artilleryman.
30. Tripwire
His real name is Tormod Skoog. Although he is clumsy and nervous, he is the mine detector of the Joe team.
31. Wild Bill
His real name is William Hardy. He is an easygoing Texan pilot who is also a helicopter pilot of the Joe team.
32. Wolf Claw
He is the first specialist for Covert Operations of the Joe team. He is also a Chinese Ninja.
