The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are, of course, the main protagonists. They are trained by their master, Splinter or Hamato Yoshi. However, they are joined by several other good guys in their quest against the forces of evil.
1. Leonardo
He is the Turtle who wears the blue mask and uses two ninjaken swords, which are often called Katanas. He is considered as the Turtles’ leader, as he is the group’s most serious member. He is also closest to Splinter. He has unmatched swordsmanship skills.
2. Donatello
He is the Turtle who wears the purple mask and uses a wooden bo staff, which has the ability to disarm any opponent. He has an interest in science and is regularly thinking of different inventions.
3. Raphael
He is the Turtle who wears the red mask and uses two sai daggers. No sword can endure his sai. He likes to jokes around, is sarcastic and "cool but rude", and is easily irritated.
4. Michaelangelo
He is the Turtle who wears the yellow mask and is an expert in using whirling Nunchucks and whirling pizzas! The most laidback member of the group, he loves eating pizzas and have a good time. He is known for speaking in slang and made the catchphrase "Cowabunga!" famous.
5. Hamato Yoshi or Master Splinter
He is a stern and aged sensei, who is the master of the Turtles. He was the one who trained them in the art of ninjitsu.
6. April O'Neil
She is the redheaded TV reporter of Channel 6 who was able to discover the sewer home of the Turtles. She quickly became ally of the Turtles from the first season until the end. She also has ticklish feet.
7. Irma Langinstein
She is an associate in Channel 6 TV and plays the bespectacled best friend of April O’ Neil. She is also a front door secretary. Irma is constantly preoccupied with guys but has always been a friend to the Turtles.
8. Carter
He arrives in New York to be trained by Splinter in martial arts. He was inadvertently exposed to the ooze that caused him to mutate spontaneously from his human to mutant form. Carter was able to assist the Turtles in the fight against Dregg.
