Green Lantern: The Good Guys
Alan Scott was the first Green Lantern. He came across a special green lantern that contained a powerful force that had landed on Earth many thousands of years ago. This force was able to help Alan Scott become the Green Lantern by providing him with special powers. He can fly, walk through solid objects, create strong energy forces, paralyze people, and can even read their minds. Alan Scott used this new power for the good of mankind by taking on the bad guys.
Hal Jordan was the next Green Lantern. He was giving the power ring and green lantern by a dying alien. Not only did Hal use his new powers for good but he also went on to found the Justice League of America; an organization devoted to protecting society from the bad guys. Unfortunately Hal fell under the spell of Parallax for a while, but was eventually able to free himself to continue his fight with the good guys.
Guy Gardner became had been a potential recipient of the ring and green lantern from the dying alien, but Hal Jordan had been chosen because he was nearest. Guy became friends with Hal and he began helping out on missions. He was later given his own power ring and became a Green Lantern.
John Stewart worked as a backup for Hal Jordan. He is one of the few green lanterns who does not wear a mask.
Kyle Rayner is a freelance writer who was chosen by the last Guardian of the Universe to become a Green Lantern. He is not as brave as some of the previous holders of the lantern, but he has his own good qualities.
Jade is the daughter of green lantern holder Alan Scott. She has many of the same abilities as her father.
