Justice League of America: Overview
The Justice League of America is described as the ultimate collection of action figures because it contains such popular characters as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and the Green Lantern. The Justice League of America has now been going for well over fifty years and this makes it one of the most enduring. It was original called the Justice Society but by the 1960s it had changed to the Justice League.
These action figures probably reached the height of their popularity in the 1970s, but they keep on making comebacks. In 1986 the Justice League International was introduced followed by a return to Justice League America in 1996. There are rumors of a new series involving the Justice League universe to be released in the near future. The action figure series is produced by toy manufacturer Mattel.
The Justice League Unlimited line of action figures had run from 2003 right up until today; there have been 70 characters released as part of this series. The original series had Batman, Superman, The Flash, and The Green Lantern. The versions since that time have produced completely new characters or new versions of the more popular ones. As well as the good guys there are also plenty of bad guy action figures to defeat.
